For Two Weeks Only, Turkey-Tikka Masala

posted Nov 13, 2011, 2:54 PM by Dustin Romero

For the next two weeks we will be serving Turkey-Tikka Masala with cranberry chutney. There will be a vegan alternative. The price for the dish will be $7 and that includes a piece of naan. In case you don't know tikka masala is a British dish, interesting huh? It was developed in England and is the countries most popular dish. Tikka means chunk, and masala means spice blend. So put it together and what does it mean? Turkey chunks in a spice gravy. Riveting isn't it. This is our first dish made with meat cooked in the tandoor oven. The oven makes it extra tasty because the extreme heat hardens the marinade into a shell around the meat while preserving a moist and tender interior.
